When movie actors or stunt doubles break through "glass" windows, what is it really made of? Are they ever injured by it?
Here is what happens when an actors tangles with real glass. This is Taylor Hickson. The accident occurred on Dec. 15, 2016 (age 19). Hickson was shooting “an emotionally charged scene” for her role in Ghostland, in which her character balled her hands into fists and desperately pounded on a pane of glass. The movie’s writer and director Pascal Laugier asked Hickson to “pound harder on the glass with her fists” with each take. He assured the young actress that it was safe to do so. Obviously it all went sideways. When wearing heavy makeup the scarring isn’t that noticeable. Without: She currently stars in the TV series Motherland Fort Salem and they don’t try to hide the scarring. In fact it is part of her character. This is what happens when a production company takes shortcuts.
