The UFO report is expected to be given to Congress within the next day or so. Some thoughts (from least to most interesting): 1) Terms: UFO v. UAP UFO (unidentified flying object) is the traditional way of referring to unrecognized things in the sky. But the acronym/phrase is flawed in at least a couple of important ways. For example, we aren't sure whether the thing is actually an "object," as it could be a hallucination, optical illusion, etc. Also, we aren't sure whether the thing is "flying," as it isn't necessarily an object; but even if it is an object, it could simply be gliding or falling. Thus, I prefer UAP (unidentified aerial phenomenon), which is far more accurate. Lastly, people often confuse "UFO" with "alien spacecraft," and so changing to UAP may help to dissociate such a foolish association. 2) Don't confuse the issues. There are many separate issues involving aliens that people often conflate. For example, don't conflate the question of "do aliens exist" with the question of "have aliens have visited Earth"...or even "will visit Earth in the future." 3) Do aliens exist? I have no clue. The key preliminary question to be able to begin to answer that is whether God exists. If God does not exist, then aliens almost certainly do exist. If God does exist, then...ask God. 4) Have aliens visited Earth (in recent history). My presumption is no. I don't believe in the ability to warp through time and space. As such, it would take aliens many, many lightyears (at least 14) to be able to travel to earth. To me it's far more likely and sensible that aliens would have created an A.I. system that is incredibly advanced and can go out and search/study the universe. But what about all those UFOs? Again, UFO doesn't mean alien spaceship. Alot of this is simply explained away. Some of it less so. One of the main questions is: how can something travel far beyond the speed of sound without creating sonic booms? My main theory would be that it's a projection/hologram (possible made by people). Alternatively, either something traveling sufficiently quickly does not create sonic booms as we usually experience them or something something quantum physics. Assuming the UFOs are traveling this fast and everything is as it seems, then my presumption WOULD BE that they are created by aliens, because such G forces would destroy any Earth-made object. Also, the ability to cheaply/safely control nuclear fission is the solution to all of Earth's energy problems.
