I tried to blend and make shapes until it looked like something. This is the result.

Day 6 and i'm definitely improving now, it's not as much work to define planes and it takes more doing to make a muddy mess. I am concerned leaving the sketch mostly intact is like using training wheels tho. I also went with unnatural skin tones to hide from natural ones. for the head i went in with no sketching first and i kept moving that eye down and it kept moving back up. I do enjoy that the little lying down fella looks like its lower abdomen is loose skin draped over something.

Day 5 of learning digital painting, i've been practicing for 4-6 hours a day. i had to stop, my shoulder and elbow are hurting. I think i'm improving but i don't feel like i know what i'm doing anymore now than when i started. I'm also color blind so i have no idea what this looks like to normal eyes.

I'm trying to figure out how digital painting works. This is the progress after about 4 days work. There were 2 more heads after the first but the program i'm using crashed and they were lost. At best it feels like i'm a 5 year old sculpting by ripping out and slapping on fistfulls of clay. At worst like i'm stirring and sloshing mud around. What i've learned is that a narrow value range looks a bit nicer or is at least easier to work with and blending, like with a pen should follow the curve of the surface you're working on.
