Nudibranchs - AKA Sea Slugs

Nudibranchs, aka sea slugs, are bottom-dwelling, jelly-bodied marine invertebrates. Found mostly in shallow, tropical waters of the world's oceans, there are more than 2,000 known species of nudibranch. These shell-less mollusks are ravenous carnivores. Nudibranchs dine mostly on algae, sponges, anemones, corals, barnacles, and even other nudibranchs. They identify their prey with two antenna-like appendages called rhinophores at the top of their heads. .............................................................................. #earth #science #nature #education #animals
