I hate this.... I hate this so much. Sensationalist bollocks that some people will believe. Now, don't get me wrong. I like bees... A lot. But this just annoys me no end. THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF POLLINATORS ON THE PLANET! Yes, bees do a LOT of the work, but that work is also done by flies, moths, butterflies, wasps and a plethora of other tiny insects and even some birds and bats! For some plants, bees are not even invited to the dance! Take Figs, pollinated by wasps. Yuccas, pollinated by moths. Most, if not all night flowering plants are pollinated by moths. I understand why they are doing it... But I sometimes wish they would just stop making everything so manipulative. People will work out that this is wrong and start wondering if the rest is bollocks, too. We do need to save the bees, and the wasps, and the other insects that help us. But we can only do that by cleaning up the WHOLE ecology. Not just by planting bees and hoping they come up as roses. >.> Yes... That was a terrible analogy. Work with me. https://artificialgrassnews.com/you-wont-bee-lieve-our-landscape-without-bees/ #Bees #Ecology #MediaLies #Insects #SaveThePlanet

The things we do for science! Buglife, a UK charity is starting a UK wide survey running between 1st June to 31st August and they want you to photography your reg plate! They are looking to see how many bugs end up splattered on your car. Gruesome, I know... But I can remember a time when you would have to clean your windscreen when you went anywhere, now you don't even need to clean your reg plate. https://www.buglife.org.uk/get-involved/surveys/bugs-matter/ #Bees #Insects #SaveThePlanet #CitizenScience #Ecology

Fly on Lambs Ear (Stachys byzantine) leaf. Fly's normally don't sit still when you get this close. Cold mornings are good for something! B-) #MyPhoto #Photography #Insects #Fly #Nature
