Stop Body Shaming

Whenever body shaming is being mentioned, the first place our mind goes is to fat and obese people. Perhaps because it's so cliche. Their body size is in our faces. It's the first thing we see when we look at them. But, we also forget that slim people get body shamed too. We call them sticks and toothpicks then go ahead to laugh about it. But that's not the point. Body shaming is damaging to the psych of the person at the receiving end. The person doing the shaming might see it as fun or as a way of making them do something about their body weight. What they don't know is the struggle and the psychological burden an overweight person has to carry. They do not like their massive size, trust me. Combine that with trying to relate with judgy people on the daily. What does that tell you? It beats me why a human being would wake up in the morning and decide to ridicule another human being because of their body size. Most of these people did not choose to be like that. I know a number to fat people who actually eat healthier than someone we all consider normal. They exercise, do their normal routine check and keep clean. You see them outliving the slim ones because they do take care of themselves. Perhaps before you throw a jab at the next fat or extremely slim person, ask yourself if you're actually healthy. It's never been about who's bigger or smaller, rather, it's who is healthier. Are you healthy? Answer yourself truthfully and go and sin no more. #health #exercise #kindness #psychology
