I wonder if Terry Crews sees the world today and thinks back to his role in Idiocracy and thinks "What the fuck!!"

So I was watching DungeonCraft, as I am prone to do while I paint D&D minis. He was discussing more narrative play. That letting players pull of narrative maneuvers with die rolls was more beneficial than worrying if the rules allow for it. This reminded me of a situation that came up in a game once. A group of Bandits came up on the party. They had two mastiffs. The Ranger cast Speak with Animals and shouted "SQUIRREL!" and pointed in a direction away from the party. It was so bold and amazing I let the mastiffs take off.
