When I was in kindergarten I had this teacher named Mrs. Hickey, and for some reason I just like... didn't get it? That that's what her name was? And every time I had to speak to her I would call her "Mrs. Heckindoll". Not sure why - that's just how her name registered in my brain. I called her this for nearly the entire school year, and after like a month she was already getting mad at me. I wasn't trying to upset her or make fun of her or anything; I just thought her name was Mrs. Heckindoll.
