who did and does want my children to have a better life, yet did not "give them everything" because I knew it would make them weak, undisciplined, vacillating, and self-absorbed this makes a helluvah good point.
Periods of intentional hardship (periods mind you), training, letting them solve their own problems, competition, struggle, etc. is good for the soul and makes Strong (not weak) boys and girls.
Thank you Father – an awful lot of modern people and parents need to hear this.
Don’t let your desire to improve the lives of your children be an excuse to escape parenting or use it as a device to weaken them.
You’ll be dead one day, and they will still be your legacy in this world, let them be able to thrive without you and teach them to be strong enough to far exceed you…
