JUST LEARNED / JAW DROPPING: That crap scene in independence day, where the rock star from Jurassic park uses a normal lap-top to hack the aliens...? In a deleted scene, that is explained by: all modern computers (ie micro processors) actually being reverse engineered from the 1947 crash at Roswell... Thus the software compatibility and the characters familiarity with the architecture was perfectly explained.... Deleted fucking scene!
