Walking with Angel tonight, we got talking about our dying small town.
Me: When you leave home to get a job or to go to college, I think I'll leave town to.
Angel: Where would you go?
Me: I don't know. I may go to wherever you are. Then you could live with me, or in a dorm or in your own place. I wouldn't want to be the type of parent that goes, 'Oh please don't ever leave me!' (Grabbing her in a bear hug as I said it.)
Angel: Well I want to be the kid who says, 'Don't ever leave me!' (Grabbing onto my arm as she said it.)
I've got a nice kid.
I know John Carpenter wrote They Live as an anti Ragan piece but fuck this film applies to today more than any other time. Put on the glasses, or start eating that trash can.
