I think JP has touched on the issue a couple of times, with regards to people disconnected from reality such as Lebron James. In so much as very rarely do people want the high resolution imagery because of the expense. For the most part people are content with their low resolution imagery of life and unless passion or necessity steps in, they are not going to change it. He described the phenomena in a lecture using the example of a car to a little old lady in the audience. You have a car right, and you know your car right? Sure she says. And he says, you turn the steering thingy and it goes the direction you aim it, pretty simple. At least until you're out on the road somewhere and that car breaks down. You open the hood and suddenly realize you don't know anything about that car or what makes it go. You were content with your low resolution understanding of the vehicle which was sufficient to get from A to B all the way up until the time it wasn't. The high resolution imagery is expensive though. Imagine trying to go through life having the high resolution imagery of everything you come into contact with... Such as the inner workings of a television set... At the low resolution it's pretty simply... You turn on power and select what to watch. But if you had to open that thing up and look at all of the circuits inside (the high resolution imagery) you would probably be lost. A lot of this was paraphrasing JP but I believe the idea comes across... In any case, back to Lebron James and really anybody on the liberal democrat left... I think I am beginning to understand them now. They are trapped in this low resolution imagery that is propped up by the fake news media and until that car breaks down, they don't have any desire to look under the hood. Does that make them stupid? We can assume so, but they probably contain the high resolution imagery on other things, such as an athlete to their sport, an entertainer or artist to their medium. In their chosen arena of passion they probably come off as geniuses in fact I believe TS has touched on this many times over the years talking about these people that are well known for being good at one thing suddenly think they are qualified to preach to the rest of the world their opinions on all these other things they know nothing about. (JP = Jordan Peterson & TS = Thomas Sowell) High resolution imagery is expensive in terms of the processing power required etc... so we can't just expect everyone to have it all the time on everything, and even some things that come off as common sense to you and I... Remember they also have almost our entire media being used to prop up their low resolution imagery so as long as that continues, I don't see things changing very easily. 8(
