A friend of mine sent me an article, which I'll link and I started having these thoughts on my way to work and really wanted to vocalize. At some point I'll try the video on my phone because today was a close day and these things are best in the moment. It's usually quiet in the office before people get there and maybe next time I'll take advantage of it. Plus, I be lookin all sorts of fancy going to work haha. I did my best to keep this to what I wanted to say. Writing makes it easy to expand and get off track and this could've easily turned into 4 pages instead of 1 (15-30min chat on my drive to work). The government is tired of wiping all your assess.
I was mostly thinking of how to answer questions.
50 Shades of Gray and Rainbow Scaled Fish
Why would your government try to kill you?
Let me put it to you this way:
"We" love the ocean. People love the ocean with all it's beautiful and abundant life. You know why we love it? Because we don't have to take care of it. That's not to say we don't have any ecological responsibility, but none of us are not directly in charge of caring for every creature. We're not responsible for their food supply or for providing them shelter. We don't control where they go, who they socialize or breed with. We don't have to worry about their predators or what to do with their bodies when they die.
But our governments DO.
Consider getting a fish tank. It's really fun for while! Managing an ecosystem, watching life, and being directly involved. Instead of everything being done by the ocean, you are now responsible for their food source and clean water (the very air they breathe). To house a self-sustaining ecosystem in your home requires more elements than what some people have or even have knowledge about handling! You've got to clean the tank, feed them, decide what to do with their bodies when they die and on occasion, you must cull their numbers. Sometimes they take care of that and eat each other...and you don't mind because they're *fish*. There's a level of detachment you have as their "owner."
To rule over millions of people requires a level of detachment equal to the amount of responsibility an entity holds. Prince Philip has been quoted saying that if he reincarnates, he'd like to come back as a disease that cuts back on the population (paraphrasing here). We read or hear that and act shocked. How could our leaders say such things?
But people say it all the time. It's penetrated our humor and sold to us in pastel gothic mugs and traditional tattoos. "Humanity is garbage." "We are a virus on the Earth." We are "disgusting" all the while preaching love and care for others. Fighting child trafficking while selling our own inner child into corporate prostitution for the good of the collective.
We are more Scrooge than we imagine.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
If you had millions and millions of people pushing their personal responsibilities on you, you too would feel overwhelmed. You might even feel contempt. You might even come to the conclusion that the only logical solution is to have fewer people because that means fewer responsibility. Getting you to kill yourself make their burden even lighter....and it's not even a hard thing to do.
Their fish tanks are too full and society has been the one filling them, boasting under firework lit skies that we live in the ocean.
THAT'S why your government is trying to kill you.
