The right supposedly believes in free speech, but I just got blocked for not agreeing with an over the top post. Or maybe I was blocked because they have nothing to gain from my upvotes. Wait an see: Free users are going to be blocked en mass because they don't count towards tokens. So much for free speech. We are recreating the MSM. Hypocrisy! #minds #tokens #bots #blocking #secondclasscitizen

This was not the advertisement. I don't wanna engage in a freemeum social network anymore than I want to engage in a pay to win freemeum game. I am very disappointed. But I guess its to be expected. Everything gets corrupted eventually. I think this is really premature tho. When those like me decide its not worth the time anymore, who really thinks anyone will pay for the privaledge of what? If you want you content to be seen by the masses pay a publisher. Minds was to allow the publishing fees to be tied to engagement, now there will be fees AND engagement requirement. Yet with no reward what will entice me to engage? Ill go back to utube and Facebook where the audience mass is big enough to justify the time invested vs return. Very disappointing
With the staggering success of the MINDS token upgrades, more people have expressed concern over the fair distribution of engagement rewards. In an ongoing effort to increase everyone's token rewards and protect the integrity of the system, we have added a new layer of trust to the distribution of engagement rewards. Starting today, only engagement from Minds+ and Pro channels will count towards your daily engagement score. After reviewing the data, we are confident that this will increase rewards for authentic users and discourage bad actors from attempting to manipulate the system and drain the pool. NOTE: This does not mean that you need Minds+ to earn tokens. Everyone will still earn tokens without having to pay. We will continue to monitor the data and please share your feedback.

@jack @ottman #minds #tokens #bots #lolicon #freespeech I was very excited when I came to Minds. There was free speech, interesting people and I could earn tokens. I wanted to build up a circle of people to talk to about the horrible oligarchic situation that we find ourselves in where a few hundred billionaires have enough money to distort democracy and the economy all in their self interest. The engagement metrics let me know how well I was communicating. I started in January and the first month was marvelous. But then there were warning signs. The lolicons were purged. People were saying that they didn't want to see certain topics. We were getting unfriendly. People wanted to shut down others when they could have just posted more of the content they wanted to see. The increase in token income in mid March was nice, but it just set higher expectations and attracted scammers. More emphasis was placed on Minds+, but reading its materials made clear that members of Minds+ had speech restrictions and less privacy. And then I realized that there was little I could do with my tokens if I didn't join Minds+. Bummer. Apparently Minds just takes away your tokens if you want to freely use them. WHAT?? Then suddenly I didn't see my favorite people and topics on Minds as much. I tried to compensate by posting even more, hoping that the slump was temporary. Now I see that Minds is totally gutting how token earning works and in the process treating anybody who doesn't want to join Minds+ as a spammer, an unperson. And, as I said, Minds+ is not really privacy or free speech protecting. I really think this is a bait and switch. Minds thinks that we are too invested to walk away when it takes away our whole reason for being on Minds. Minds is treating us as bad or worse than Facebook. We have no reason to believe a single thing it says. Especially about not selling our data. IF MINDS CARES, and this is just a dumb mistake, the time to fix this is now. Before the weekend. Otherwise we should all just leave. The tokens are a farce. Read how they are described in the Minds+ agreement. It isn't what we were led to expect. With the way Minds is currently operating the token will soon be worthless. Unpersoning loyal Minds members who don't choose to join Minds+, especially when there are very good privacy and free speech reasons for not joining, is the final straw. Wake up Minds or watch your platform collapse.
