Shading Practice

Another try at stylized shading, this one on a simple gesture of a ww2 soldier. This practice won't be going in my artstation portfolio, but I thought I'd post it here anyway in case someone out there might find enjoyment from it.

Writing community, how much do you try to deal with nuance in your work, especially in characters' moral situations and decisions? Do you try to make their moral landscape as complex and messy as a real one, or do you try to make it as simple as possible so the morality of their decisions are inarguable? Do you highlight the decent (or at least not villainous) people whose lives are made harder by a virtuous decision, or who benefit from a wicked one? (Art by Igor Solovyev.)

Writing community, tell me about a writing bad habit you just can't seem to shake in your writing process. Is there anything others in the writing community can do to help you shake it, or is it something you are just accepting as part of your writing experience for the moment? (Art by Brandon-Lee Welch.)
