Going through work of other photographers I was always wondering how come their photos look so attractive, colours are so balanced and overall mood is so special. I already knew that interaction with model was important, lighting as well, but one thing I didn't know much about was editing. It was another thing I've had to master in order to set my own mood to my portraits, to manipulate colours and to be in total control of final result. Editing portrait is not something done fast and simple. Portraits have a lot of textures like skin, hair, clothes and background. It's very easy to get a bit too enthusiastic about your retouching and go overboard with it, but good retouching better stay unnoticed. Learning new software, understanding color, developing some kind of taste took time to achieve, but in return I'm able now to make good portraits look even better.
