This would be the worst case scenario for some parts of Europe as well. Obviously, this does not mean that parts of Europe will be ruled by the Taliban, rather that competing groups extort money of the people and inflict arbitrary wrongs.

There is, at least to my knowledge, no historic precedent of such a battle taking place between Swedish soldiers and them in the 17th or 18th century.
