Every writer around googling how to hide bodies, poison people, make bombs... Meanwhile, I sit here and study image results of sewer hatches and outlets. Where have I gone so horribly wrong?

Haven't read this one yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Also, how great is the community support around here!
If you're looking for your next read Why Not Wichita? This fast-paced, action-packed, snarky story by @petecatania will have you laughing and on the edge of your seat all the way to Wichita-- if you ever get there. The story follows Miriam, a fiercely sarcastic warrior, who protects the city from scifi-android-mechanical monsters and does a really good job of it, but even powerful, snarky warrior ladies need a vacation so why not Wichita? The real question she should be asking is how not Wichita? And the answer is so many ways. Follow Miriam as she fights through so much more than the TSA line in her quest to find a little R&R. https://www.amazon.com/Why-Not-Wichita-Peter-Catania-ebook/dp/B08WHH54QN/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3JV3QDC1K60VU&dchild=1&keywords=why+not+wichita&qid=1618348602&sprefix=why+not+wit,aps,180&sr=8-1

I just finished reading the first two (of six) stories in @vladimir_af 's book Order of the Spirits: Fragments. Loved the first one, "Spirit of the Wolf - The Untold Story." It's a short but richly told tale of a warrior named Wolf battling an ice demon. I loved the ice demon itself, so vividly described! Wolf is introduced with some tantalizing mysteries attached to his character. I almost didn't love the second one, "Spirit of the Wolf - Masks and Feathers." But I stuck with it, and absolutely loved it by the end. This one is longer and more contemporary in setting, with some interesting skips back and forth in the timeline of the story. Once I got acclimated, I was sucked in. Great story arc for the character of Sandra. We get to know more about Wolf although there is still some mystery there. The ending of this story got to me!! 😭 It brings everything back to the high fantasy setting in a very satisfying way. By the way, these stories are full of combat scenes, ninja-type skills and interesting weapons and gadgets! I believe the six stories in the book are related/intertwined, so I'm looking forward to reading more because there are certainly some mysteries not yet answered. I'm planning to take a break from this one so I can read @petecatania's Why Not Wichita, but will immediately return to Order of the Spirits after that! 😊 https://www.amazon.com/dp/8690280200
