While on an outing at the local but not so local craft store I found "Cakes". Seriously, if I win a lottery I'm building a craft store with a dedicated miniatures section that serves beer and has a pizza oven...anyway... It was October and Michael's had their Halloween Village stuff out. I saw this skele-dragon with a very rough paint job and decided I needed to have at least one non-mini miniature in my collection. March 2021, Reaper Paints, cork, and a bunch of glue and baking soda.

I may be repeating myself but it still needs to be said and I will keep saying it. When I was in college I had a teacher talk negatively about my work. While I wasn't the best in the class I was still happy with what I did and knew it had room for improvement. Their words did effect me and in doing so sucked all the enjoyment I had out of drawing and all art. It wasn't until four years ago that I got in to painting miniatures and rediscovering art and my passion for it. I graduated from that school in 2007 and kick myself every day for giving up on what I loved because what I did wasn't to some asshole's liking. I think about how many things I could have done and how much my skills would have grown and it makes me sick. If you see or hear about this happening to a fellow artist or friend you need to get them to start posting their work here on Minds. Show them that their freedom of artistic expression, style, and passion are welcome here and can serve to inspire others.

A Japanese artist was canceled by the "woke" mob for drawing Nessa in watercolor... This is the drawing the artist deleted. The artist apologized for the art. The art is very beautiful and it's depressing the artist had to delete it. Watercolors are lighter pallet, the "woke" mob has trouble understanding that this is not "whitewashing". If you can, send a message to the artist that she does not need to apologize to the mob and give your support. Artist apology: https://twitter.com/ohr_cn/status/1370709158069211138?s=19
