Those in the know are calling the project designed to reflect the Sun's rays "Mad Science." Reliable reports say Gates wants to hoist balloons that can go into the stratosphere to disseminate CaCO3. Calcium carbonate isn't toxic but tons of it will reduce surface sunlight by creating a reflective 'shiny' film in the stratosphere that will circumnavigate the Earth. Most of the ultra-fine dust will almost certainly descend back onto the Earth's surface, eventually. The settling dust could aggravate respiratory ailments with some people but I seriously doubt the concentrations will be very dense or of it settling suddenly, could and probably will take years.
