I've noticed a really dumb trend among conservatives that have just left them further and further behind in contemporary politics and issues and makes them seem more and more dumb. It's a cycle of denialism which allows leftism to come to dominate the dialogue on various issues, allowing leftists to take over and squash any opposition to actually take form. > A problem is identified: Take climate change. Scientists have been talking about how important it is for decades. > Leftism presents its solution: We all know the ecofascist policies being presented. Increase regulation, increase government intervention, increase government power over personal choices. > Conservatives deny the issue and call it dogma: Environmentalism has become "da big gubmint fing", and instead of creating a strong opposition (like letting the private sector do its thing and expand an already trillion-dollar industry) we just hear nothing, see nothing, and say nothing. > Issue becomes dominated by leftism: So, with conservatives blindly stomping their feet and no opposition being raised in the proper scholarly circles, dialogue becomes trampled by leftist propaganda. Citizens just see the same "studies" and choked-up bureaucrats on TV calling for radical actions and saying (for the fifth decade in a row) we'll all be dead in a decade. Despite the fact conservatives know the private industry does exceedingly better than the government, and that privatization decreases government intervention (you know, contrary to leftist policies) conservatives just deny the issue and let it get taken over by their opponents, and then complain that the UN is too powerful, the government is too powerful, the regulations are too excessive, no one is listening, bla bla bla. What the Hell is going on here? I'm sick of tired of this complacency and stupidity.
