I hate this advice from today's artists without giving any context or more helpful advice. I agree when it's a person's professional trade for years, but what about beginning artists? If you tell a beginning artist, an artist that just started, that they should charge over $20 for their art but someone that's better is charging the same, who will people flock to more? It's time x skill x name. If you do not have any of those, then you are only hurting yourself from getting customers, when they go to someone more skilled. Being around Twitter, I’ve seen artists go around telling newer artists this, which they overpriced their art later.
