I came of age in a time of no heroes. John Wayne had passed away decades ago. The current sport players, actors, actresses, politicians, and even religious televangelists felt no responsibility to set a good example for any people to follow. The world needed a hero. In that place stood up those people that were ordinary people willing to take a beating and or arrest to make the world a safer place. You have seen some of their exploits in Kick Ass the movie, but this tale is about Chris Natal from Saint Louis, who wore the custom to save the day for a few innocent people. Chris’ superpower or lack thereof was his ability to do gymnastics and take a beating due to his physical shape. His workout routine was due to his job as a gymnastic coach at the local YMCA, and a gym near his house. His character was that of a religious nut that planned to avenge those who were abused. The first and last victim to be saved was a little ole kitten from a tree. The little kitten’s owner Alice was crying by the tree when the leotard wearing hero came across her. After a quick review and prayer for the situation, he climbed the tree taking the kitten from the branch and slowly climbing down. Giving the kitten to Alice; she was so happy and cried even harder when holding her kitten. The neighbors heard the cries and thought that Chris had done something wrong. Screaming insults and hurling garbage at him. The neighbors chased Chris for several blocks, making the hero business questionable for this first and last time hero. After that experience, Chris had second thoughts of being a hero, so he never dressed up in his leotard again. Moral of the story: a good deed never goes unpunished and doing right does not always mean people will follow you. As many of you know, I used to live in the library during the daylight hours of the 1980s. I spent my time with Lewis, Token, Jordan, Rice, before it became cool or interesting to the masses. On a trip to Montana and North Dakota, I visited a rather enormous library on the plains of North Dakota. The library looked like a bank built in the 20s. I got to spend a few hours there by chance because of the family and car troubles. I quickly found an old favorite The Hobbit in the back of the library, of course where the loners usually just enjoy the peace. I skimmed through the first 200 pages, stopping where the dwarfs were imprisoned prior to their release by Bilbo. Just when the dwarf’s prison doors were to be opened; knowingly, since I had read the book a few times before a book popped out the shelf and fell open next to me reading the Hobbit. Humor how life happens at times. The book was something I had not read nor touched before Harry Flashman. Odd that the book definitely was not categorized by the author last name nor title of the book for a library category. So I was unsure why it was here. Putting it back an older boring colored hardcover caught my attention. Grabbing at it instead of pulling it from the self it binged back and made me jump back as a click and the whole shelf swung against me as if a door opening. And to that point the shelf pulled back with my hand. The librarian was nowhere to be found. I believe she had gone out forgetting me. So with no one to stop me I pulled the door open. There on the floor was a pill of envelopes, and from the light from a window over the chair I was using I could see a light with a pull string light. Bending over reading the address I was the majority addressed to Mr. Babsy. Humor someone’s Hemingway hideout? Who knows, anyway , pulling the chain lit a small room. A table, what looked like a still. The pill of envelopes and a small looking medical gadget was what I could see. Being venturous I went through the envelopes. Which had wonderful 20s stamps all addressed to Baby. Trying to figure out why their presence was there I noticed a mail drop between the back of the door. Well I guess if someone was to hide a room a library was as good a place as any. What surprised me most was the lack of dust. Anyways moving into the room I started to review the books on the table. The first was a ledger accounting it seemed of a business operation of medicine? No I suppose after seeing a liquor bottle. There in the ledger were small towns that appeared in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Illinois, Minnesota, and other small towns that I recognized from my travels with my mom since the split up of my folks. It seemed this was a major illegal operation built on the plains of North Dakota. Sort of like the Kennedy’s moon shine hold in Havre, Montana. Looking at the next book it seemed like a personal diary. Last date 1929 written about a Mr. Babsy and the venture of the moon shine. The journal was given by someone Limburg for a birthday gift to a Major Babsy. Reading the diary about Mr. Babsy seemed to be in love with someone. He had it bad. Seemed obsessive to appoint that I realized I had never fallen head over heels in love before. It seemed to detail that Mr. Babsy was a local who was planning to take and make himself a rich person. Humor he even gave some detail on back accounts and politicians a few of them; I had heard about from history class. One name I saw I did not expect was my great grandfather. Well, I knew the righteous stories on how he made it in flax in the 40’s. Seeing his name there made me wonder a bit but life is a mixture of chance opportunities. Anyway venturing into the boxes one contained several old medicine bottles labels peeling with age and odd color liquor look inside. Another box had a letter on it without an envelope. Opening the letter which was addressed to someone whose name I had heard in the old folk’s home where my great grandfather lived. What a small world we live in. The letter was telling him that if My. Baby might never come back; from reading the content the letter was sort of a last will and testament from Mr. Babsy. The letter went into how several small communities were being used and their libraries were being used to store medicine etc. Opening the box under the letter there were roughly fifty thousand dollars in ones the year 1920 stamped on them. The box looked half full. Humor, what one expects and what one gets are two things. I closed the box. Thinking I needed to talk with my grandfather prior to doing anything. I took the dairy, 20 dollars in one dollar bills from the box replacing them with a 20 dollar bill my father had given me on his recent visit to me. My parents of course being separated tried to buy my love at times. I also took the letters unopened. Pulling on the chain the light chain broke while closing the self back. Going back into the library I pushed the shelf back into place. I went to the door. Humor the librarian had locked me in with a note saying she was out for lunch. Well life happens so I went back to my seat and began the Tale of there and back again. Later in the evening the librarian awoke by turning on all the lights and my mom was calling my name. Horse, pony, colt, filly waiting for a cowboy Horse on the trail waiting for a cow waiting for a cowboy traveling a trail pony at a fair waiting on a kid waiting for a rider traveling a circuit colt born wild colt waiting to run wild colt waiting for a mustang wild run colt traveling a wildness trail filly born wild filly in the wildness running wild filly waiting for a drink of water filly running in a wildness trail cowboy tell me this cowboy tell me that cowboy tell me a horse tale cowboy waiting on a cow trail Working with a cow working for along time on the cow trail fencing the wild trail gone wild are the horses gone are the ponies gone are the colts gone wild are the fillies how sad are the cowboys with fences There once was a pirate named Ender. Who roamed the wild seas in search of venture and treasure? He searched with his ship the Black Skimmer which he and his crew loved for the long haul and easy smuggling. The ventures were fierce and the pay was small but to be a pirate was all this crew could want to be. They would sing a song and sail along on the high sea... So there they were about to capture a merchantman ship off the coast of Japan. Silk, pottery, golden objects, when the current started to carry them away from the prize ship. The crew of course a duck, bear, and Ender could not do much but watch as the prize floated outside their range. The current swiped the Black Skimmer along the narrow current path through the sea towards the Chinese Sea and out towards the ocean. Ender was singing along and the duck at the helm was quacking for all he was worth. The bear having missed a chance to plunder was into the rum and honey and not thinking much more than that the world was a venture that was weird at times and that honey on the paws is something sweet. The wind blew the current brought up drowned ships older than times itself. One even looked like a UFO. There were roman vessels; there were Chinese junks, Viking long boats, not just one or two ole 1500 century pirate ships but more than dozen flying the skull and cross bones. Time shifts to a similar person but in a different time zone. This is a simple story of a space battle, such a tale as may be told by a pirate who is no writer to a reader who is no pirate. The morning of Sunday, the seventh of day of June 2013, was bright and cold. The wake up call of the captain was sounded rather late, for the snakes, wearied with long voyage, were to have a day at port in New York City prior to destroying and conquering the planet for their own evil design to end human kind. The snake people were here for revenge and were ahead of the heavenly ship by eight years. Within seven years they will have conquered the world and made the humans their slaves both mentally and physically destroying, murdering, and causing wars that would destroy a full four fifth of the world’s population. The men in black were hopeless in fighting the snakes and the world’s governments had been influenced by the snakes to build their bunkers within the world’s crust which would be nuked to a French fry causing no people to be able to live there. But that day that day prior to Nibils arrival was such a strange day. The snake people dressed as humans wandered through New York using their stolen credit cards to buy what they wanted and make the jewelry stores their profit for a lifetime and since they would only live another few days. Well that was their day. AS a pirate this is where I came upon this viewing. Pirates viewing are a bit different from a seer’s viewer or fortune tellers. Ender the Pirate was hoping only for a profit. Now how did a land dwelling pirate end up p in space one might ask and that is the jest of the story The portals to other worlds and realms was opened to him due to his riding the great skimmer into the tidal cycle that wove around earth and ate ships, isle, and whole continents at times. The story goes Ender was about to take the ship little Endeavor from Ms. Churchill off the coast of Japan in the 1500s when the tide pulled the skimmer into a slush pile of other ships and things. The cycle pulled and pushed and the skimmer was pulled out into the ocean from the Chinese Sea within minutes of it being sucked into the tide. There Ender was forced to reconsider life and chances.
