Hippie Coke, 50 years ago: I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. Woke Coke, today: Try to be less white. Not exactly what I'd call progress.

Coca-Cola to employees: "Try to be less white." Literally what they said. Busted by an internal whistleblower. https://twitter.com/RealCandaceO/status/1362862767481446406

I've been saying this for a long time. Social psychologist Jonathan Haidt argues that we all have a God-shaped hole in our heart, and everyone fills it with something. Wokeness has all the trappings of a religion, complete with original sin, dogma that can't be questioned, and punishment of heretics. The key thing it lacks is forgiveness.
I'm done with calling wokeness an ideology or political position. Conservatism and liberalism are political positions mainly based on economics and the role of the government. Wokeness isn't. It's a fucking religion. White privilege is original sin, cancel culture is "purging the heretics", White Fragility is the Bible, Twitter is the cathedral, gender studies is the seminary, Anita Sarkeesian is the Pope, George Floyd is Jesus, the big corporations are the Vatican, and "faith, hope and charity" has been usurped by "diversity, inclusion and equity."

I like how it's now become easy for the "woke" among us in society to identify them with their cringe-ass yard signs, especially that 'IN THIS HOUSE, WE BELIEVE THAT LOVE IS LOVE, SCIENCE IS REAL, BLACK LIVES MATTER, WOMEN'S RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS, NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL AND AN INJUSTICE TO ONE IS AN INJUSTICE TO ALL' one. It's so embarrassing to drive through a rich, all-white neighborhood and see a 15-foot Black Lives Matter sign. The less that's said about the new rainbow flag with the BLM+trans triangle, the better. Think of these yard signs as the woke equivelant of Catholics who have Virgin Mary statues in their front lawns: just their way of announcing their religion to the world.
