What happened at the Capitol Building was a riot, not an insurrection, and certainly not an armed insurrection. This is not a political statement. It’s just English. The events constitute a riot by every English standard and definition of the word, not an insurrection. Democrats and the Mainstream Media, (alas, I repeat myself), are inappropriately using the word “insurrection” as a political tool, to score the political points they need to persecute conservatives and begin the process of curtailing the Constitution’s Fist Amendment.
