I had a cardiologist describe this very thing to me. If you are getting rapid plaque buildup on your teeth, you are also accumulating plaque in arteries. It's not exactly the same substance, but caused by same stuff; EXCESS CARBOHYDRATES. The cardiologist whispered it as if he wasn't allowed to utter it.
