Esther and Mordecai, were instrumental in defeating the genocidal plans of the man who was influencing the King of Persia to write an 'executive order' to kill Mordecai's people. But because Mordecai and Esther exercised faith, wisdom, and courage they acted in obedience to God's will to defeat Haman's plot to destroy the people of Israel.
