My pre-order for the Bride of Frankenstein spinature from Waxwork Records finally arrived! These lightweight figures mount on the spindle of your turntable and spin along with your favorite records. Definitely a must-buy for any Universal Monsters fan, even if you don't have a turntable. They make excellent shelf sitters when not in use.

Happy anniversary to FREAKS, a 1932 American pre-Code horror film produced and directed by Tod Browning. Because of its controversial content, the film was banned in the UK for over 30 years and was labelled as "brutal and grotesque" in Canada. The film’s "one of us" chant has been famously featured in songs (Pinhead by The Ramones) TV shows (Big Bang, South Park), and films (The Wolf of Wall St).

A re-adaptation of Stephen King’s THE RUNNING MAN is in the works. The screenplay, which is being written by Michael Bacall, will reportedly stick closer to King’s source material instead of being a remake. I'm actually interested to see what happens with this one. As much as I loved the Schwarzenegger flick, it was vastly different from the book. There's definitely some potential for a great cat-and-mouse thriller. https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3652979/edgar-wright-directing-re-adaptation-stephen-kings-running-man-paramount/
