The amazing thing about technology is how bottlenecks hold back progress. The 140k + terabit internet speed world record really does put into perspective how money and technical issues in other fields hold us back for now until other tech advances. Think about it. If you took an xbox one back in time to 1995 people would be amazed... but there was no HDMI back then. The TV's didn't have 1080p displays we had like 480 at most. There were roadblocks we had to cross. Also the chips and parts needed to make another box one just didn't exist and neither did the manufacturing equipment either probably. So tech moves quite fast, but imagine how much faster it would be if funds were unlimited and deploying upgrades to current infrastructure would make it go. Prolly straight into oblivion if the roadblocks were off TBH. Prolly be fighting skynet robots LOL
