Apple Crumble!
One of my favourite desserts. I make this far too often! Ingredients Serves 4 greedy people! Fruit 700g (about 5 or 6 good sized apples) cooking apples, peeled, cored and diced. 25g soft brown sugar half tsp cinnamon OPTIONAL - 50g sultanas or any dried fruit Crumble 150g plain flour 75g butter (at room temp) 40g icing sugar (sieved) half tsp cinnamon Method Preheat your oven to 200C (400F) Put the diced apples, sugar and cinnamon in an oven proof bowl and mix well. Put the flour and the butter into a bowl and rub together with your fingers until you get what looks like breadcrumbs. Sift the icing sugar into the bowl, then add the cinnamon and mix well, the icing sugar may clump up, just keep mixing until it breaks up. Sprinkle the crumble mix over the fruit and put into the oven for 40 mins or until the top is a golden brown. This topping will make a thin crumble top. If you are like me and like it quite thick simply double up the ingredients. Best served with custard or ice cream Enjoy! #Food #Recipe #Baking #Apples #Crumble
