Writing Confessional Booth
Inspired by @danielandangel's post (who you should subcribe to because they make lots of great posts): If people got to see the first draft of your manuscript, what writing horrors would they see? In my first drafts everyone always looks at everything. "Bob looked at the table. Joe looked at what Bob looked at on the table, and then looked at Bob. Mary looked at Joe and Bob and then looked at the computer, and somehow the computer looked back at her." It's awful. It's like "look" suddenly becomes the only verb in existence. I thought it would be fun to share so that everyone can feel a little less self-conscious about how bad first drafts are. And a little sketch of Silene I commissioned for "The Twee Sister", because I like adding pictures.
