what's the general consensus for how people feel about lovecraft country
i avoided it and any talk of it for a bit but decided to give it a shot
edit: about 4 episodes in and my interest is starting to die down. it's this strange mix of racially charged writing (white people cults) black family drama, and actual lovecraft shit thats actually done... well!
but to get to that good good you've got to sit through a typical black family jim crow era drama and keep up with who's who's sibling and what everyone's motivations are and tensions rise and fall at the drop of a hat
it's not a typical lovecraft story (because it isnt) but follows some similar beats as one. the first 2 episodes were pretty good, and the third was weird, by the forth im starting to care alot less. ill probably try to finish it, though
