WorldCon is a pathetic and sad convention, with around 5k-6k attendees and shrinking every year, smaller than some entire panels at better conventions.
This is a meaningless gesture of spaghetti-spined submission, classless and contemptible, and Toni Weisskopf and Baen Books deserve better. They are slumming it at WorldCon, and canny people know it.
At least they’re thinking outside the box, right?
