Some dog people don't seem to get---or accept---that cat people feel the same depth of connection to cats as they do to dogs.

Mina likes to hold hands.

I used to think stuff like this was funny. Now I think it's just part of the normalization and commodification of cruelty. It allows us to think we can get away with the nastiest behavior simply because someone else hurt us. Any level of bitchery is fine, right, and good, because 'my pain'.
