I think we have fowled the waters, with toxic growth, and I believe we need to heal that. We as people must transmute this toxic surface layer from the waters earth and sky, that we don't become the next layer of oil to be pulled from below.

Sepp Holzer is one of my favorite permaculturists. In his recent book, Desert or Paradise on two pages Sepp recommends the Fokin hoe (Russian flat-cutter or ploskorez Fokina). Vladimir Fokin is the name of the inventor of this tool. It does not look like much, but the great Sepp Holzer says it saves him loads of time, Please watch this video to see it in use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVct-bWc28M For details and to place an order click on the link: https://ecominded.net/garden-tools

Professor of Forest Ecology at the University of British Columbia, Suzanne Simard has studied webs of root and fungi in the Arctic, temperate and coastal forests of North America for nearly three decades. Her initial inklings about the importance of mycorrhizal networks were prescient, inspiring whole new lines of research that ultimately overturned long-standing misconceptions about forest ecosystems.
