New idea: turn my upcoming projects into audio theater first then flesh them out as novels.

Got chastised last night for personally insisting on not creating something generic or derivative. 😓

What do you guys think of the idea to possibly adapt the netherworld story into audio theater?

Part three They did finally go on their excursion a few days later. They went at night so that they could use the cover of darkness both to observe and to experiment. Richard's father was an excellent guide, and took him to places where he could watch interactions between people, while teaching him how he could use his magic without being noticed. After several hours Richard asked if he could try his new spell. His father paused, but then nodded for him to go ahead, and Richard asked him to grab hold of his jacket so the spell wouldn't affect him too. He pulled out a stick that was about six inches long, the glow of the street lights causing a strance iridescence. Just then a boy ran from the supermarket with a case of stolen beer and knocked over a young mother, holding a baby. Everything stopped as Richard pointed his stick at the scene and began to chant quietly. He then moved his stick in a counter-clockwise circle with continued chanting, stopping when the boy was once again inside the store entrance. He resumed with a clockwise motion, somehow sliding a bench in front of the boy as time resumed. The boy fell over the bench and was apprehended by store security and the mother and baby were unharmed. Afterward, father and son just stood there for some moments. It appeared that the spell had taken a toll on Richard, who was trembling slightly as he replaced the stick in his jacket pocket. Rich senior looked at his son in awe. Did you always understand how you could use that spell? "Yes, father. I hope that I can use this gift wisely and help many people in their time of need." Richard's father hoped so too, because he knew from experience that it was easy to misuse great power in a moment of jealousy or anger and regret it for a very long time.
