I was 18 when the Berlin Wall came down. It looked like freedom had a bright future ahead as I embarked on adulthood. Now, 32 years later, the walls, fences, and armed soldiers that are a hallmark of every dictatorship have come to America's capital city. And a weary and already divided population is being told by an administration that won a questionable election to blame the entire situation on their own neighbors, aided in its efforts by a loyalist media, while it colludes with global corporate monopolies to silence and demonize dissent. They know that fear equals control, and control equals power. We're witnessing America's dying days. The name may remain, but it's not an America our forebears would recognize. The nation has taken on the role of an old classic-rock band well past its prime, with faceless replacement musicians propping up the one remaining original member who struggles to sing and play, a mere ghost of who he once was. They plod through all the old comfortable hits, living off past glories, but everyone goes home lamenting the passage of time and knowing there won't be many shows left before the end. The Republic had a good run, but all things must pass.

More than 40 executive orders either prepared or signed, including the destruction of women's sports and private spaces, the institutionalization of reverse discrimination, the destruction of American jobs, the weakening of our energy independence, taxpayer funding of abortions (remember, Biden is Catholic), and more mask mandates, all done behind razor wire and thousands of occupying soldiers. Yeah, that's perfectly normal.
