From what I'm seeing over here at Minds, in terms of aesthetics, it is the bastard child of Twitter and the old Facebook. But, tragically, both its parents prefer to pretend he doesn't exist.
A lot of people are talking about the tech giants being an oligopoly. I think this is inaccurate. They're not an oligopoly per se, Google has little to do with Twitter, for example.
But their relation still benefits them.
I think a more accurate term is that of the Japanese Keiretsu, which are informal business groups that mutually aid each other. They help each other retain market share and get rid of undesirables through coordinated policies.
