The way that social media is balkanizing and fracturing into smaller units is reminiscent of earlier days of the internet where you'd have these isles of social interaction peppered across the vast ocean of world wide web. We had a concentration of information into fewer and fewer hands with the big tech giants, and now we're seeing a return to something that's starting to resemble 2000's forum culture. I welcome this change. I miss message board dynamics.
