Andrea Mantegna Minerva Chasing the Vices from the Garden of Virtue, 1502 Minerva was the wise, defensive guardian goddess of high culture and trades. She's the party that made Medusa, so lovely for being corrupt, ugly. Seems had a had thing about vices, as expressed in this painting.
