Christmas Tree Hunt
When we were kids, we used to hike up the mountain a ways and find a Christmas Tree. It was normally a Charlie Brown tree, but we liked the character! One year I pulled a sled all the way up to where we found the tree. And then I rode the sled down the farm road back down to the fields. My siblings were so jealous - they wanted the fun but without the effort to get to the fun part. Why are we so scared of hard work? It builds character, it strengthens muscles - physical and mental. So get out today and pull your own sled up to the top of the hill. Sure walk in someone else’s path, but pull your own sled up to the top. Help is acceptable, as is helping someone else, but get up there and enjoy the ride back down! P.S. Where did you get your Christmas trees as a kid? Let me know in the comments!
