There were multiple requests from both Republicans and Democrats to amend the stimulus bill and government spending package.
It came after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy wrote Republicans will “reexamine how our tax dollars are spent overseas while so many of our neighbors at home are struggling to make ends meet.”
