In the begining of febuary of 1954 in MVD of USSR Was produced informational note for the general secretary of CPSU Nikita Khruschev signed by three top officials of USSR For the number of convicted by article 58(and others) (Meaning for politically motivated crimes) By all courts of all jurisdictions. For the period from 1921 until 1953 (Stalin's era) This note was top secret and only made for internal use (mean never was published for any reasons until top secret status was removed (in late 1980's)). Was convicted 3 777 380 men. Including 642 980 men was sentenced to capital punishment. For time in camps and jail for 25 year term and less : 2 369 220 men. And other convictions : 765 180 men. Those numbers include : war criminals, intervent forces. terrorist groups etc. Also, of course, this number include everyone who was wrongfully convicted. Mean... Great terror wasn't so great, neither terror.
