Whom Shall I Fear?
This is one of those verses that makes my heart sing for joy and at the same time I clutch onto it's comforting spirit, which soothes me in troubled times. Just think on the first few words, "The LORD is my light and my salvation;"...As my mind drifts into the serene state when I think of my Lord, Jesus,.... it is as if the rest of the world is hushed and oh so still,..my focus is no longer on " this problem or that problem" but is focused on the Lord. He is my peace in troubled times. "He is the Strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" Oh to be able to give someone peace,...to give them light and hope....Oh that they may know Jesus.. Jesus is God's gift. Only God can give this gift. Only God can give someone this peace. Oh how we can so strongly desire that others be the recipients of God's grace and His gift of His Son, that sometimes we can put more emphasis on our part instead of recognizing that ALL the glory goes to God. We are the sowers of the seed, we are the signposts that point the way, we are the billboards along the roadway.....you get my drift. As the sower all we can do is watch God grow the seed as He sees fit, and it is HE that does the harvesting, not us; as a sign post all we can do is point others to Christ, not drawing men unto ourselves but directing them to God. we are the billboards along the highway in which they are travelling, alerting them to dangers ahead and joyfully the promises that are with Christ. So continue sowing the seeds of the Gospel along with the love which is in you, then trust in God and in His Sovereign plan of salvation, of life and you will have that peace that passeth all understanding. May God's grace and peace be with you on this fine and glorious day. Blessed be the name of the Lord!!! #Jesus #Salvation #Light #Fear #Peace
