FOR YOU YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN THINKING YOU LIVE IN HORRIFIC AND DEPRESSING TIMES You do not. You live in anything but. I saw the fall of the Berlin Wall. Saw the collapse of the Soviet Union (in which I played a very small part, but nevertheless, I helped). People I knew were slaughtered in the genocides in Rwanda (and elsewhere). I watched Nixon resign, Clinton being unsuccessfully impeached, the war in Vietnam, the damned hippies (I apologize to your generation for my damned generation, but that’s no excuse for you), the Weathermen, the PLO, Desert Shield, the Iraq War, the Afghan War, huge spikes in crime (almost always in liberal big cities, now ain’t that some kinda coinkydink), riots in the 60s, riots now, 9/11, terrorism, passenger planes exploding, night club bombings, the PLO, the Symbionese Liberation “Army,” elections stolen all over the world, the CIA fuck up quite a few things, corruption within the US government, corruption in local governments, the FBI corrupted, Liberation Theology (yeah it was as bad and every bit as evil as it sounds – hence your current pope – and I am not anti-Catholic), the politicization of nearly everything, the corruption of the media, plagues (real ones) like you’ve never seen (thankfully limited to usually very small areas), famines like you wouldn’t believe (rub your belly, you’re probably fat and be thankful you can be – though it sure ain’t good for ya if you are), the Civil Rights movement, the corrupted and very degenerate current “civil rights movement,” (actually the very opposite of civil rights), liberalism become socialism and outright communism, espionage (industrial, academic, national, international), ever escalating illicit drug use and escapism, addiction to prescription drugs, the explosion of porn, an unbelievable and directly related explosion of pedophilia (never thought I’d see that on this scale), the legalization of abortion (also directly related to pedophilia), human trafficking, undercover ops gone very, very wrong, mass murders, numerous serial killers – you name it. Oh, I ain’t saying my part was the most important part in any of them, not even close. But I saw and/or had my part in all of em. And in some of these things I was front and center. I’ve also been stabbed, shot at, received numerous concussions, many broken bones, had my back broken, nearly died a few times, endured hard frostbite (not pleasant) been in very bad accidents, been exposed to nuclear radiation, burned severely, and nearly drowned a coupla times. (I don’t ever wanna be burned badly or nearly drowned again…) On the other hand my grandparents and the people in my family saw and endured (mostly on a daily basis) a helluvah lot more than I have so far, and sometimes told me about it. I much admired them for what they endured. It was a great deal compared to me/us. But that’s another story. And on the other side of the ledger I saw the very first personal computers and some of the original computers (the very first computer I ever saw was a NASA computer as big as a freaking wall), the moonshots, the Space Shuttle, the first video games (if that can be counted a positive), the music of the 60s and 70s (the one good and right thing the hippies ever did was their music), the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the hanging of Saddam Hussein, successful SAR operations (and a few, one recently – not successful), the first cell phones (personally I hate cell phones), robots (maybe that well turn out well, maybe not), private Space Exploration, the birth of the public internet (I also remember and used the original internet – look it up sometime), the development of technologies I only dreamed of as a kid (some TOS Star Trek level), men sacrificing their lives to save others, me saving other men’s lives, other men saving my life, an almost 7 foot tall man burned down to a three and a half foot long cinder (first dead man I ever saw), hell, I even remember when MTV was MTV and played halfway decent music (that actually occurred back then). Point is this is far from my first Rodeo kids (and I really like going to the rodeo). And it probably won’t be either my last, or, your last either. Oh, I’m far from saying that what is happening right now is not important. It is. Perhaps very, very important. Ranking right up there with the collapse of the Soviet Union. But if it is then its just one more thing in a huge stream of events, for which you should be extremely grateful you have the opportunity to engage in. So, sharpen your knives boys, take your positions, wait your moment, gird up your loins like a man, and smile that knowing smile because you now have the opportunity to participate in and possibly even alter a truly Great Historical and National Event, not just make more supposedly clever comments on these things, or passively watch them occur on your God-damned televisions and internet pages. Do not be shy and self-absorbed like a cowering little pussy when you have the opportunity now to reshape your entire nation, and maybe even the world, for the better. For the infinitely better. And to create stories that your own grandchildren will happily tell with honor and pride. Because you were not afraid, and because you, unlike so many around you, were Active and at war about something truly important. Now I’m going out to the lake for a hike and to enjoy myself before this all begins in earnest. As for you don’t think this is over by any stretch of the imagination. For most of you this won’t be your last war in this world, and it may not turn out to be even a War at all. But if it is then be Ready, and be very, very glad you can fight it. What a Christmas gift that will be to us all. Think of it this way, what a thing you now have the chance to become. All because you do not live in idle and leisurely and unimportant times. It’s an honour to be Man enough (or Woman enough) to fight in great causes… so, get off your asses and knees already and do your part. #fight #history #youth #election #virtue

IT IS THE EVE BEFORE CHRISTMAS EVE And all is well. Be of excellent and Good Cheer (not fake cheer) and Much Hope (not false hope). After Christmas either the Right Things shall prevail or you will have every opportunity to fight for the Right Things to make them prevail. Either way this is a huge win for you and for your Manhood. So, enjoy your Christmas and await your opportunity. Your day approaches. While other men cower and expect others to save them, and the world, you do not. Be very, very happy you live in such times and that you have the opportunity to engage in such deeds... they will prove your True Nature. Let this time make of you something truly extraordinary and something damn well to be feared... for all the Right Reasons. #hope #Christmas #Manhood #opportunity #election
