If you think you are a competent analyst and want to see charts and data of deaths broken down, sliced and diced, here is the CDC link.
Ppl claiming there are NO excess deaths are either genuinely mistaken or if they KNOW the data and mislead ppl about it, they are likely, guilty of wilful manslaughter by maliciously dissuading people from taking precautions.
Leaders are doing a VERY poor job of convincing the public just by issuing insistent statements. People are NOT all in a trusting mood and they need a bit of detail, data, reasonable explanations that are more than just "it's a virus, you can die, wear a mask".
Leadership is NOT about ordering people around and expecting them to just trust and follow. It's about gaining BUY IN. Gaining trust in leadership takes work, not ordering people around with the expectation that they will just trust you. That is extremely patronizing.
