Built in 1901, the place has been used to treat patients with long term respiratory illnesses until 1971, when the soviet occupation force took it over used it as a hospital for their troops. 150 000 have been stationed in Czechoslovakia up until 1991, and after the last soldiers left, the hospital was left abandoned.
