Daily Earth and Sun Report 10.28.2020 Solar Wind: speed: 496.6 km/sec density: 8.0 protons/cm^3 X-ray Solar Flares: 24-hr: C1 The solar disk is quieter today as the coronal hols fade, and a couple of active regions crackle away. The solar wind is calming, and along with it, geomagnetic conditions have slid into the normal range. A coronal mass ejection (C3-class) may kiss the earth's magnetic field on Sunday, causing minor geomagnetic disturbance. This CME was not produced by giant a sunspot, but rather it was hurled into space yesterday by an erupting magnetic filament. 6:24 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz1aZLP-8sE ................................................................................ #science #space #nature #education #news
