I love going to the theater. I do it less frequently these days because of the cost. But, when I do go, I do the full theater experience: popcorn, candy, ICEE. I even go all out when I am lucky enough to go to one of those places that serves real food and booze during the show ( I love those places so much, even as they empty my bank account with their $12 bourbon shakes.)
More, I love taking my kids. They are all teens now and it's tough to get us all in the same room, focused on and enjoying the same thing. It gives us time, memories, conversation. Theaters are more than just a way to pass a couple of hours while you cheat on your keto diet and pretend it doesn't matter because you did it in the dark.
We need to open theaters. Now.
