A reason that an extra 19,000 of us die from COVID-19 (annualized), precisely 22 days after an extra 1% of us wore masks, is vitamin D. The masks prevented formation of vitamin D, which caused the increased deaths 22 days later (when those deaths would be expected from that amount of mask-wearing). Vitamin D is likely the most important factor of all factors with respect to COVID-19. We get it from the sun, but not when we wear masks outside.
